According to the Pew Research Center, there are nearly 7 million students with disabilities in the United States. That accounts for 7 million students who have a more challenging time learning, making friends, communicating, and playing sports. We want to make a difference and help change things for them.
The Miracle League is a non-profit baseball league for children and adults that provides a safe space for them to play baseball, have fun and grow in areas that it is harder for them to do so in a different environment. It all started when in 1997, a baseball coach named Eddie Bagwell invited the first child with a disability to play baseball on his team. Even though it was beautiful and sparked a line of inclusion for other children with disabilities, after some years, it was evident that all children should have the opportunity to play baseball in an environment that lets them grow.
After some years and with the help of many remarkable people, Miracle League Field was completed. Franklin County’s very own Miracle League was founded in 2011 by Donna Wade. It has built an incredible complex with sporting facilities that meet the Miracle League players’ unique needs and helps them become better in many other areas besides baseball.
Our team here at the Larry Mitchell Agency truly believes that all children deserve to develop, grow, and get to know themselves in a safe and nurturing space. We feel inspired by the Miracle League and we want to help them out. So, we have decided to advocate and direct monetary rewards to their causes. We hope to help a lot of children grow, and you can be part of it! When you recommend someone to us for a quote, we offer to donate $10 on your behalf. Make a difference today!
