In mid-2020, it was reported that over 10,000 animals were unfortunately euthanized throughout a variety of animal shelters in North Carolina. This disappointing statistic was a result of there not being enough space in these shelters to house the number of animals that need a home. Elaine Smith, a Director at one of the shelters in our state, has said that “pet owners surrender their animals to the shelter frequently, while other owners let their animals run loose, which increases the likelihood of them mating with other animals or getting lost and being picked up by animal control officers.”
In order to combat this, the Granville County Animal Shelter partners with the community to share the love and concern for the animals and pets in Granville that need it most. In partnership with local volunteers, they are able to reunite lost pets with their owners and find fur-ever homes for pets that need to be adopted.
Our team here at the Larry Mitchell Agency is passionate about our furry friends and we want to do what we can to provide them with support and resources. That’s why for our next cause campaign, we will be bringing awareness to the Granville County Animal Shelter and committing to donate $10 on your behalf for every recommendation you make to us for a no-obligation quote! With those donations, we’ll be able to purchase pet supplies and necessities so that the animal shelter can continue doing its good work!
